System improvements, upgrades and projects
We are continuously working to maintain and improve the water system. Some of the major projects we are currently working on involve the installation of new, or the replacement of existing, equipment and facilities needed to provide safe, reliable water service.
Water Main Replacement in Bridgeport, CT
Aquarion Water Company continues to replace approximately 5,000 feet of water main. This project began in July 2025, affecting the following street locations:
- Clarkson St
- Courtland Ave
- Gilman St
- Jetland Pl
- Jetland St
- Livingston St
- Montgomery St
- Mountford St
- Newton St
Due to construction in the area, customers may experience minor traffic delays and possible detours during the working hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work is expected to be completed by June 2026. Final paving will be scheduled in coordination with the City of Bridgeport, CT.
