Andrews Farm Water Quality Report Now Available

Aquarion Water Company is notifying customers of the Andrews Farm Water Company system in Boxford, Massachusetts that the 2025 Water Quality Report, also known as a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), is now available.

In accordance with direction from the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities (DPU), Aquarion has developed a Water Quality Report for the Andrews Farm Water Company system. A printed copy of the report will be hand-delivered to system customers, and a link to an electronic copy will be distributed by email. The report is also available online at aquarionwater.com/docs/andrewsfarmswqr.

Background

The Andrews Farm Water Company system serves customers in the Andrews Farm neighborhood of Boxford, Massachusetts. Beginning in 2023 and continuing into 2025, the system experienced significant operational and compliance deficiencies, including missed water quality monitoring, failure to meet reporting requirements, and the absence of a certified drinking water operator.

In September 2025, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts declared a State of Water Emergency. This action authorized Aquarion Water Company to restore service and assume operational and managerial control of the Andrews Farm Water Company system on a temporary basis.

That directive has since been extended, and Aquarion continues to operate the system under state oversight.

About the 2025 Report

The 2025 Consumer Confidence Report provides a summary of drinking water quality for the Andrews Farm Water Company system during calendar year 2025. The report includes information about the system’s water source, monitoring results, and how those results compare to state and federal drinking water standards.

This report reflects expanded sampling and monitoring performed throughout 2025, including data collected after Aquarion assumed operational control of the system.
