Aquarion Seeks Nominations for Environmental Champion Awards

11th annual awards program seeks to recognize New Hampshire’s environmental volunteers

HAMPTON, NH – March 6, 2024 – Aquarion Water Company announced today the opening of nominations for the 2024 Aquarion Environmental Champion Awards. The awards program honors the hard work and dedication of residents, businesses, and organizations committed to preserving New Hampshire’s environment.

“As proud environmental stewards, Aquarion is grateful for the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of those who share our passion for protecting New Hampshire’s natural resources and making sustainable choices,” said Carl McMorran, Aquarion’s New Hampshire Operations Manager. “For over a decade, we have been impressed by the remarkable work of residents, businesses, and organizations to support a healthy environment. We strongly encourage New Hampshire’s environmental volunteers to submit a nomination for this year’s award program.”

The 2024 Aquarion Environmental Champion Awards will recognize outstanding environmental contributions in the Adult, Non-Profit Organization, Business, and Student (Grades 9-12) categories. Winners in the Adult, Non-Profit Organization, and Business categories will have the opportunity to choose an environmental non-profit to receive a $5,000 grant in their honor. The winner of the Student category will be awarded a $1,000 prize.

The submission deadline is May 13, 2024, and the winners will be announced on June 11 at a special awards ceremony at the Seacoast Science Center in the Odiorne Point State Park.
