Water Main Clean and Line Project Scheduled to Start July 10, 2023

NEW MILFORD, CONN. – July 6, 2023 – Aquarion Water Company is performing essential work on infrastructure in New Milford necessary to ensure continued system reliability.  A water main clean and line project is scheduled to begin July 10 on Harmony Trail in New Milford. The project is expected to be completed by August 2023.   Final paving will then be scheduled in coordination with the Town of New Milford.

The project, which will clean and line approximately 1,290 feet of water main, is part of an ongoing program to improve Aquarion’s water distribution system and to ensure the highest quality water.  The infrastructure upgrades will also help to reduce leaks and water main breaks that can cause service interruptions.

“We greatly appreciate residents’ patience during this project,” said Justin Xenelis, Aquarion’s Manager of Utility Programs.  “We will work closely with our customers, contractors, and town officials to coordinate the work and minimize any disruptions.”

Due to construction, customers should expect minor traffic delays and possible detours during the working hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Windsor Locks-based Paganelli Construction Corporation and Watertown-based Michels Corporation will be serving as the contractors for the project.
