HAMPTON, N.H. – April 24 – Aquarion Water Company is reminding schools, businesses, environmental organizations and the general public that nominations for the company’s 10th annual Environmental Champion Awards will be accepted until May 12, 2023.
The Environmental Champion Awards recognize outstanding voluntary achievements that have contributed significantly to the improvement of New Hampshire’s natural environment, particularly in the protection, conservation, restoration, or stewardship of its water, air, soils, and plant and wildlife habitats.
Winners in the Adult, Non-Profit Organization, and Business categories will have the opportunity to select an environmental non-profit to receive a $5,000 grant. The student category winner (grades 9-12) will receive a $1,000 award.
“For the past decade, we have had the privilege to recognize the volunteer efforts of residents, businesses, and organizations that work to preserve New Hampshire’s natural resources,” said Carl McMorran, Aquarion’s New Hampshire Operations Manager. “We hope Granite Staters will take a moment and submit a nomination to help us honor those caring for our environment.”
The submission deadline is May 12, 2023, and winners will be announced on June 20, 2023 at a special awards ceremony.
