Water Infrastructure Work to Begin in Easton

Water Main Installation Project Scheduled to Start August 2026

EASTON, CONN. – August 3, 2026– Aquarion Water Authority continues to perform essential work on infrastructure necessary to ensure continued system reliability.

On August 10, 2026, a water main installation project is scheduled to begin on High Ridge Road and Ferndale Road. The project is expected to be completed by October 2026.  Final paving will then be scheduled in coordination with the Town of Easton.

This is the first phase of a two-phase project to reduce the high distribution system pressures along Ferndale Drive, Sturbridge Road, and a portion of High Ridge Road.

“We greatly appreciate residents’ patience as we complete this important project,” said Mike Hiltz, Aquarion’s Manager of Project Delivery, Engineering and Planning. “We will work closely with our customers, neighbors, contractors, and town officials to coordinate the work and minimize any disruptions during construction.”

Due to construction, customers should expect minor traffic delays and possible detours during the working hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Plainville-based D&G Contractors Inc. will be serving as the general contractor for the water main installation project.
