Tentative Schedule:
Starting June 29th, 2026, Aquarion will be working on New Canaan Road (Rte. 106) between Katydid Lane and Trails End Road, Wilton CT.
- NO WORK from July 1 through July 7th due to Holiday and adverse weather.
- June 9 & 10th Continue Removal of nine (9) inches of asphalt.
- Week of July 13th -Paving (7-inches of asphalt).
Tentative Schedule:
- Starting July 20th Work between Trails End Road and Old Kings Highway, Wilton CT.
- Week of July 20th - Removal of nine (9) inches of asphalt.
- Week of July 27th -Paving (7-inches of asphalt).
Upon completion of the work outlined above, the contractor will communicate the schedule for placement of the final 2-inch asphalt surface course.
The timelines above are estimate of duration of work and is weather dependent. Modifications to the above schedule will be communicated via AWC & Towns of Wilton and New Canaan Websites.
Please follow the detour route shown on the attached sheet during construction hours. The detour route consists of Old Boston Road and Old Kings Highway.
Normal Construction hours will be from 7am to 5:30pm. However, to encourage a timelier completion of the project in our neighborhoods, construction hours may be adjusted from 7am-5:30pm to 7am-7pm. In special circumstances Saturday work may be required.
Residents living in project area above please allow extra time to enter/exit the respective work zones and, please coordinate with traffic control for access to your property. Homeowners living within the area of active construction zone (i.e., disturbed roadway) can go either direction when exiting their driveways. Signage indicating the direction of travel will be provided for those homeowners within the detour but not within the disturbed roadway (active construction zone). The flaggers and officers have been instructed to let through delivery vehicles that are going to homes within the detour; all other deliveries must use the detours. All bus stops will remain at their current locations. Emergency vehicles will be granted immediate access through the work area.
